What the numbers say for Longwood buyers
96 of the 179 Longwood homes on the market (54%) are asking less than they did on day one, and 73 (41%) have been listed 60 days or longer. Those two figures are the practical case for making an offer here. A seller 42 days in who has already cut once is a different negotiation than one of the 106 listings still inside its first 60 days.
Across the 96 Longwood listings that have already come down, the typical reduction is 5.15% off the original asking price. That is the size of a first concession, not a final one.

About Longwood
Longwood is a city of 15,087 at the 2020 census.
Its modern shape came from the military. Growth began with the Second World War as personnel arrived at the new Naval Air Station Sanford to the north and the Orlando Army Air Base to the south. By the 1950s NAS Sanford had become a master jet base for carrier-based heavy attack aircraft, and military families rented and bought around Longwood in numbers.
As late as 1959 the city had a little over 1,000 residents inside roughly one square mile. It even had its own grass airstrip, Longwood Slade Airport, on the north side of State Road 434, which closed and was developed into The Woodlands subdivision in the late 1960s. Slade Drive is named for it.
