Economic Confidence in the U.S.: A September Slip 📉

 

In the wake of a turbulent year, American confidence in the economy has seen a further dip this September. 🍂 Key takeaways from the recent Gallup poll conducted between Sept. 1-23 reveal:

 

1️⃣ A significant 6% increase in Americans rating the economy as "poor" this month.

2️⃣ Pessimism regarding the economic trajectory is on the rise. 😟

3️⃣ Economic concerns as the nation's prime issue have climbed to 34%.

 

Digging deeper:

 

20% of U.S. adults describe the economic conditions as either "excellent" or "good."

A notable 32% deem them "only fair."

And a staggering 48% label them as "poor."

 

The Economic Confidence Index has sunk to -39, a fall of nine points from its August position. 📊
